Cosplay Commissions

What will I need from you?

  1. What are you looking for?  – Please describe in as much detail as possible.  Reference pictures are a must, so that we’re on the same page.  However, I can also sketch a personal design for you based on your description for a fee.  Is this based on an already existing character? Series?
  2. Measurements: Bust, waist and hips is enough to get me started.  Sadly clothing sizes won’t work as they vary between manufacturers.
  3. Date Needed By – I often have a queue of cosplays I’m working on plus several conventions I attend throughout the year.  Letting me know when you need the costume by,  this will make it easier for me to let you know if I can fit it in.  Even a ballpark date range is great.

 

Once I have this information I’ll be able to provide you a quote to make the costume specifically for you.

 

General info:

My specialty is dresses and skirts.  If the costume or clothing  you’re inquiring about requires other pieces, I will be perfectly honest if they’re within my ability. If you are asking about a specific single item – such as a hat or scarf or tie – I may set up a listing on Etsy for you, as these policies specifically refer to costume or full outfit commissions.


Turn Around Time:

This differs from costume to costume.  A deadline will be ironed out while we discuss details.  Once this is set, I’ll do my best to adhere to it.  If for any reason things come up and I’m not able to meet it, I will let you know as soon as possible.  Please be sure to allow plenty of time for the product to be shipped to you as well.


Payments:

I accept payment by Paypal or Credit Card (through Etsy).  Payments are generally split in two with half being due upon acceptance of the order and the remainder due once the piece is finished and before it is shipped out.  Payment plans can be worked out upon requests, just let me know.  Once a payment is made, this means that you agree to the policies on this page and will inform me right away if there are any issues. No items will be shipped until the payment is made in full.


Shipping Information:

Orders are shipped through USPS Priority Mail (2-3 business days) with insurance to cover the shipment in the US.  If you are international, please contact me first about current shipping options.


Refunds:

I do NOT accept Returns or issue Refunds.  Once payment begins on a commission, they are nonrefundable.  Because of the intensely customized nature of the products I offer, I cannot accept returns or exchanges.  I will do my best to follow everything discussed in the quote and if there are any issues during construction I will let you know as soon as possible.  Also, I will tag you in all progress photos on my Cosplay Facebook Page so that you can see the progress. Once a product is shipped, I cannot change anything about the order.  If you are unhappy with the item in anyway, please let me know and I will try my best to fix it.


Duplication:

I have no issues with creating costumes based on characters, however if an artist has specifically asked that their designs not be made, or if they offer their own commissions, I will not duplicate their designs.  In cases like these, I would rather you support the actual artist.
